My photography is rooted in a deep love for the quiet beauty of the natural world. Through my lens, I strive to capture fleeting moments—sunlight catching on feathers, the stillness before a bird takes flight, the poetry in the details we often overlook. Nature has always been a place of healing for me, a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what matters. My hope is that viewers feel not just like they’re looking at a scene, but like they were truly there—witnessing the stillness, the motion, and the magic.
I first picked up a camera as a pre-teen, photographing sunsets with a Polaroid. That small act sparked a lifelong love for photography. Over the years, I earned a certificate through the New York Institute of Photography and briefly ran a portrait business while our family was stationed in South Dakota with the Air Force. Life took me in many directions—including a career in graphic design—but photography never left me.
Recently, I returned to it with renewed purpose, upgrading to a Canon EOS R6 and diving headfirst into wildlife and nature photography. That decision was spurred by a season of reflection as my father faced a terminal cancer diagnosis. Losing him reminded me to invest time in the things that bring me peace and joy. I know he would be proud to see me behind the camera again, spending quiet mornings in the woods or along the water’s edge, letting nature speak.
This year, I’m submitting my work to local and state fairs for the first time—both as a tribute to my dad and as a step forward in honoring my creative path. My photography is more than an image; it’s an invitation—to slow down, to notice, and to feel the wonder that still lives in the world around us.
About Me
I’m a detail-oriented, passionate designer with a summa cum laude design degree (May 2018) and a background in print, digital, photography, and social media. I thrive in collaborative environments, lead projects independently, and have a freakish eye for typos (I even love most rules).
Since 2019, I’ve been part of the communications team at Brown & Brown, where I now serve as Communications Strategy & Operations Enablement Leader. I lead a team of designers to craft strategic, brand-aligned solutions for clients. I also work on creating efficiencies and streamlining processes to beset support our teams. I am a program leader for our Minneapolis office summer internship program and co-leader of the Brown & Brown Veterans Teammate Resource Group (TRG), advocating for veteran and military spouse hiring—something I care deeply about as a military spouse.
Beyond work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors gardening, running, biking, hiking, and photographing nature. I also love to support my kids in sports and marching band, and you'll often see me lugging my camera and giant lens around getting photos to share with others.
