I have a range of experience including: designing for print and digital, a background in photography and social media experience. I thrive on multitasking and collaborating with others, but can also take a project and run independently when needed. I have a freakish eye for typos and love rules...most of them.
In April 2019, I began the communications team at Brown & Brown for the Employee Benefits department in our Minneapolis, MN, office. I'm currently the Communications Strategy Lead where my role consists of developing strategic communication solutions for our customers. I lead a team of graphic designers and believe every project and customer is unique and should be customized to their brand. We address specific needs using an array of information to achieve positive outcomes. In addition to my role in communications, I help lead our robust summer internship program. I'm also on the leadership team for our Veterans Teammate Resource Group (TRG) where I've been able to bring veteran recruiting and hiring initiatives across the organization. I was a military spouse for many years and when my husband retired after 23+ years, I got to see firsthand the stress our service members experience upon transitioning out of the military. I'm thrilled to be able to bring resources to our teammates and educate around veteran hiring opportunities.
Outside of work, I have served on the North Hennepin Community College Workforce Innovation & Experiential Learning Advisory Board, supporting better pathways for students from 2 year colleges into the workforce. I love to run, bike, hike, spend time in nature with my camera, and enjoy time with my family.
